The Importance of Deleting Visual Editor Mode in WordPress

WordPress has several default user roles, each with varying levels of permissions and functions to help you manage your website content and layout. The default roles are administrator, editor, author, and contributor. An administrator can manage the entire site by making changes to menus, installing plugins and themes, modifying the database, and much more.

User Experience

If you want to improve your WordPress user experience, you’ll want to get rid of that pesky visual editor button. This feature was added to give bloggers a way to easily add content to their blogs, but it actually detracts from the ease of use. Many people don’t realize they are even logged into visual editor mode and do not realize how much time they waste with it.

Site Performance

One major problem with WordPress that contributes to poor site performance is a plugin called Visual Editor that is enabled by default on all new sites. In fact, it’s even disabled on many hosted sites! Although this may have been done by accident, or perhaps in an attempt to help users, enabling Visual Editor can actually cause significant performance problems.

Editing your posts and pages in visual editor mode means that anyone with access to your WordPress dashboard can view, edit and even delete these pieces of content. This is particularly dangerous if you’re using an open-source version of WordPress. To protect yourself, it’s important to disable visual editor mode by default.

Brand Protection

In a world where everything is digital, having an online identity that is secure and trusted by potential customers is paramount to your success. This means offering customers easy ways to identify you as a professional company. One way to set yourself apart from other companies is to get rid of any features which display visual editor mode. Simply put, if someone wants a professional-looking website, they’ll choose yours over one that displays anything other than the full HTML option.

There are several reasons why you might want to disable visual editor mode. Simplicity is one. First, you have a distraction-free writing environment that eliminates clutter from your writing canvas and keeps things straightforward. This can help you focus on your thoughts and deliver high-quality content for search engines. Second, it streamlines your page load time, helping customers quickly find what they’re looking for when they come to your site.

Whether you’re writing or coding, one thing remains true: you have to have confidence. Whether it’s a lack of confidence that prevents your ideas from coming to fruition or a lack of confidence that causes you to misspell words when composing an email, self-doubt is something every professional must fight against. In both writing and code, know what you want and believe in yourself enough to accomplish it!

Solving Problems with the Text Editor, Not Problems Caused by it.

When using a CMS, one thing that you may notice is that you have to put some extra effort into deleting when writing a post. By default, most content management systems come with a visual editor mode. The text editor is what most people are familiar with when it comes to writing HTML code or creating websites. When using visual editor mode, many problems will arise while editing your posts, because not all editors were created equal.

Why Remove Visual Editor Mode in WordPress?

Even if you’re not a designer or coder, visual editor mode can sometimes cause damage to your site. When clicking around and editing content, users are prone to make simple mistakes such as misspelling something or misplacing a word or character. While we may be able to overlook simple typos and spelling errors on our own sites, search engines may not agree with us. Think about how Google and other search engines view your site when there are such simple mistakes present.
